If you’re expecting a lengthy, well put together post then today is not the one for you! But if you’re wanting to stay in the know, and you want to find out what’s going to happen to Miss Shan Louise then you should probably carry on with this little update! If you follow me on Instagram ( @missshanlouise if you don’t already) then it’s certainly not new information to all of you who watch my insta stories or read my v rambly tweets, that i’m currently mid dissertation, and I’m going back to full time placement very soon, this Monday in fact, so that’s 40 hours out of my week, without including travel time, that I can’t work on my blog! So as much as I want to work on my blog every minute of the day, realistically I just can’t. As I need to priorities what’s important to me, family/friends, my career and surprisingly, now my blog, which is weird because only 2 weeks ago and I typed up the words ‘ I have no intention of being a full time blogger’ but here I am feeling slightly lost that I’m already having to reduce the frequency of the content that I would ideally like to put out on here! But in the same breath I’m glad because it takes the pressure off to ‘get something up’ which is not how I want to be at all! I want to feel excited to share a new post and that’s exactly how I intend on keeping it, so even though my schedule was a mental schedule, mental in the sense that I hadn’t actually shared it with you, and not mental in the sense that the work load was too much, I’ve decided to dedicate two posts a week to well, whatever I feel like writing about! And then an additional post when I have collaborations! Which is kinda exciting because I’ve had quite a few exciting emails already this year and we’re not even two weeks in!
I’m definitely the type of person who whole heartedly throws herself into a task, but now more than ever I feel like the metaphorical spinning plates are slowing down and I am not prepared to let any slip! So I’m going to say for now that I’m sticking to a Wednesday and a Sunday, but you know, things change and in a few months or so (when the dissertation is done) I can focus my attention even more on here! But there will be lots on Instagram and of course Insta stories (I have my first spin class after a good couple of years so if you want to see just how unfit I am now, you should defo keep an eye out for that) and who knows, maybe even other social platforms at some point. Ohh one last thing, I did promise myself that this post would be quick, but here I am almost 600 words in already, I’m going to Italy and more specifically Rome in 3 weeks time! It seriously only feels like yesterday that I opened up the envelope that Callum handed to me to tell me that we are going there! So with that, I would love to know any of your recommendations or things to do whilst out there! Your favourite restaurant, places to see, things to do, you name it I want to know it!
‘Hello Sephora, I am coming for you, but only products 100ml and under because you know, hand luggage rules and all!’ (Miss Shan Louise, 2018)
Until next time,
